This Honda FT series is equipped with a newly designed 497cc self-starter equipped single cylinder engine based on the well-established XL engine. This engine achieves high combustion efficiency through a 4-valve mechanism with two valves each for intake and exhaust. In addition, although it is a single-cylinder engine, it uses two exhaust pipes to further improve exhaust efficiency and produce even more powerful torque.
