The engine installed in the CR250R has improved output (47.5PS/8500rpm→50PS/8000rpm) by changing the operating characteristics of Honda\'s original H.P.P.P (Honda Power Port), which can achieve powerful combustion due to excellent filling efficiency, and improvements in the intake and exhaust systems. In addition, the popular NS cylinder, which is coated with nickel and silicon carbide on the inner wall of the cylinder, and hard chrome-plated piston rings are newly adopted to improve heat resistance and durability as the engine increases output.
