The Hurricane name was officially dropped from the line in 1989, However the CBR1000 was never given a replacement name so it was often still referred to its original name. The engine is a four-cylinder in-line developing 135 horsepower. Braking is considered among the best; it is entrusted to two discs 296 mm in diameter at the front and 256 at the rear. The large 21-liter tank makes it possible to envisage the long stages.
